Postal Rates NOTE: Our prices do not include postage. We ask that you provide your own postage stamps. You can buy stamps online or at the U.S. Post Office. You should take a pre-stuffed invitation to the post office to determine the postage rate. You can also design your own custom stamps (average cost is about $1.50 per stamp) through the Post Office or one of their partners. Depending on the size of your invitations and the number of enclosures you include, your invitations can weigh over an ounce, and therefore require extra postage. For a typical one-ounce rectangular invitation, first class postage is 45¢. If your invitation is over one ounce or is square in shape, or is thicker than 1/4 inch, a 20¢ surcharge will be added for each ounce. You can use Forever Stamps - regardless of when purchased - to mail one-ounce letters after a price change, without the need for additional postage. Current (January 22, 2012) USPS First Class postage rates are as follows: Non-Letter Rate - square envelope; does not bend easily; has clasps, string, Reply Postcards - 32¢ International Pieces - First Class, not over one ounce |
